Shariqonomica: Journal of Sharia, Law, and Economics follows the ethical guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). These guidelines aim to ensure the integrity and quality of academic publications and define the responsibilities of all parties involved in the publication process:
1. Authors’ Responsibilities
Authors must guarantee the originality of their work, avoid plagiarism, and present data accurately and honestly. Authors are also responsible for ensuring that the manuscript has not been published elsewhere or is under consideration in another journal.
2. Editors’ Responsibilities
Editors are responsible for evaluating manuscripts objectively based on academic merit, relevance, and the results of peer review. Editors must maintain confidentiality and must not discriminate based on ethnicity, religion, gender, or institutional affiliation of the authors.
3. Reviewers’ Responsibilities
Reviewers must provide objective and constructive feedback, maintain confidentiality of the manuscript, and declare any potential conflicts of interest. Reviewers assist editors in making fair and informed editorial decisions.
4. Publication Integrity
Any suspected ethical misconduct (such as plagiarism, data fabrication, duplicate publication, or undisclosed conflicts of interest) will be addressed in accordance with the journal’s policies and COPE guidelines.
